A Spring Update for Our Dog Families

Park adventures while the weather is still beautiful, summer heat care, and a friendly travel reminder before the season fills up.

The beautiful spring weather is finally here, and before we know it, NYC summer heat will be right around the corner. We wanted to share a few seasonal notes for our dog families — from special outdoor adventures while the weather is still comfortable, to how we approach walks once the temperatures get too high.

As always, we care about both sides of the experience: keeping pups in our care safe, comfortable, happy, and cared for in a way that fits their individual needs, and giving you peace of mind every time they’re with us. Some dogs love long strolls and extra outdoor time, while others do best with a familiar routine and a little extra caution in warmer weather.

Give Your Pup a Special Afternoon in Central Park While the Weather Is Still Beautiful

While it’s not too hot yet and the weather is still perfect for longer strolls, this is a wonderful time to give your pup something a little extra special.

Our Central Park Adventure is a small-group outing for 2 to 4 compatible pups, giving them time to explore the park, check out new smells, spend some extra energy, and maybe make a couple of new friends — or simply enjoy time with familiar ones.

This is not a “pack walk,” but a small-group experience where every pup still gets plenty of personalized attention. This adventure is best suited for dogs who are comfortable interacting with other pups and genuinely enjoy longer outdoor time.

This can be a lovely occasional alternative to a regular walk when you’d like your pup to enjoy a change of scenery, extra stimulation, and a special afternoon outside.

Central Park Adventure:

  • Availability Weekday afternoons
  • Book ahead At least one week in advance
  • Price $90 per pup
  • Group size 2–4 compatible pups

🐾 Participating pups should be up to date on flea and tick prevention.

Dog Walks in the Summer: What We Do When It Gets Too Hot

As the weather gets warmer, we always take heat safety seriously. Some dogs are more sensitive to heat than others — especially seniors and flat-faced breeds.

On very hot days, or any time we notice signs that a pup is getting uncomfortable with the temperature, we will limit the outdoor portion of the walk to a necessary potty break and spend the remaining time indoors keeping them cool, comfortable, and engaged.

We bring water when needed, choose the shaded side of the street whenever possible, and pay close attention to pavement temperature. Still, the best way to protect paws from hot sidewalks is with summer shoes or booties — as long as your pup approves the look. 🐶👟

Planning Summer Travel? Please Let Us Know as Soon as You Know

With summer travel season coming up, we wanted to share a friendly reminder: if you’ll need our coverage while you’re away, please let us know as soon as your dates are confirmed.

As a very small team, our availability is limited — especially during popular travel weeks and holiday periods. The earlier we know your plans, the better chance we have of arranging care and keeping everything smooth and stress-free.

As always, thank you for trusting us with your furry family members. We love being part of their lives and are so grateful to care for them through every season.
