Summer Note for Our Cat Families

As spring slowly turns into summer, we wanted to take a moment to check in with our cat families. Whether you’re planning a weekend away, a longer vacation, or a few separate trips throughout the season, we’re always happy to be there for your kitties and help keep them cared for in the comfort of home.

As always, our goal is to care for every furry family member in a way that feels familiar, thoughtful, and true to their personality — while giving you peace of mind while you’re away. We know many of our kitty clients well by now, and we love being part of their lives. Some are social and enjoy a longer visit with playtime or cuddles, while others prefer a quieter check-in, their familiar routine, and respectful company from someone they know.

Summer Travel Calendar Is Opening Up

With summer travel season approaching, this is a friendly reminder to please let us know about your plans as soon as your dates are confirmed.

As a very small team, our availability is limited — especially during popular travel weeks and holiday periods. The earlier we know your plans, the better chance we have of arranging visits and keeping everything smooth and stress-free.

When a Longer Visit May Be Worth It

For many cats, a 30-minute visit is just right — food, fresh water, litter care, and a bit of interaction if they’re in the mood.

For more social cats, longer trips, or kitties who enjoy extra playtime, brushing, cuddles, or simply having someone sit with them for a bit, a 45-minute visit can make the experience feel more relaxed and complete.

There is no one-size-fits-all answer. Some cats are perfectly happy with a shorter visit, while others clearly appreciate a little extra company.

Any Changes Since Our Last Visit?

Since we already know your kitty and their care routine, there’s obviously no need to go over everything from scratch before each trip. We only ask that you let us know if anything has changed since our last visit.

This may include updates to feeding instructions, medication, litter box setup, favorite hiding spots, building access, or anything new about your cat’s mood, routine, or preferences.

Even when we’ve known a kitty for a long time, things can shift over time. Any little update helps us care for them in the best possible way.
